Women leaders recognized for community impact at Nashville event

“NASHVILLE, Tenn. (NEXSTAR) — Women recognized for strengthening communities across the country were honored this weekend as Nexstar Media Group hosted its annual Remarkable Women national celebration in Nashville.

The three‑day gathering brought together 125 Remarkable Women finalists from 125 communities spanning Nexstar’s 116 local television markets. The women were selected by local stations for their leadership, service and commitment to making a difference in their hometowns.

The Nashville experience marked the culmination of months of local recognition and storytelling, offering finalists the opportunity to connect with one another, reflect on their shared missions and celebrate their collective impact.

The Remarkable Women initiative honors women whose actions inspire others and lead to tangible improvements in their communities. Since the program began in 2020, more than 70,000 women have been nominated nationwide. Nearly 12,000 nominations were submitted in 2026 alone.”
